If you're comparing plant rental providers in Sri Lanka, price is usually the first question — and the hardest one to answer, because most providers don't publish it. Here is how plant rental pricing works for offices in Colombo and across Sri Lanka in 2026, what changes the monthly figure, and what you should expect to be included.

What plant rental costs at Golden Leaves

Our Plant Rental Essential plan, covering up to 4 plants, starts from Rs. 6,795 per month. Larger offices move up to our other plans, which are quoted after a free site visit because the right number, size and type of plants depends entirely on your space. Every plan is a single monthly fee — no deposit, no lock-in — and new customers get their first month free (terms apply).

What is included in the monthly fee

Rental pricing only makes sense if you know what it covers. With Golden Leaves, one monthly plan includes:

The plants and designer planters

Ceramic, clay and cement planters are part of the plan, selected to suit your space and brand.

Monthly care visits

Health checks, cleaning, fertilizing, pruning and trimming, plus organic nutrient management and pest screening.

Replacement cover

Replacement of plants that fail, as per your plan and confirmed at consultation.

Records and reviews

Every visit is logged, and layouts are refreshed periodically as your office changes.

What changes the price

Four things move a plant rental quote more than anything else: the number of plants, the size of the plants (a floor-standing statement plant costs more to supply and maintain than a desk plant), the type of planters, and how many locations or floors we visit. Access and lighting matter too — a bright reception is easier than a windowless meeting room, where we choose hardier species.

Compare like with like: when you get quotes, check whether planters, replacements and monthly care visits are inside the monthly figure or charged separately. A lower headline price often leaves these out.

Ways to pay less

Three offers apply for corporate customers: the first month free; a referral reward of 10% off for 6 months when you refer another business (they get their first month free); and Plant Care Rewards, where good plant care over 4 months can lower your monthly fee. Long-term partners also get more time to pay, up to 6 months.

Rental or buying plants yourself?

Buying plants looks cheaper on day one, but offices rarely count the ongoing cost: someone has to water, clean, rotate and replace plants, and dead plants in reception undo the point of having them. Rental turns that into one predictable fee and puts the care in the hands of a trained team.
